How do I get support if I need help?

For customers who have an active BuddyCare Plan subscription, we have the following support channels:

How do you handle WordPress core updates?

WordPress rolls out core updates in various stages and we assess what needs to be updated and when. If it is a major update, we will wait 10-14 days until the WordPress development team has worked out all the bugs to help ensure it won’t have a negative impact on your website.

Do you have a refund policy?

Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If our team previously installed any premium plugins on your site, those plugins will be removed.

How do you keep my site safe?

We perform daily security scans to ensure your site is safe. If any malware is detected, it will be removed and we’ll let you know about it. The WordPress core and plugin updates also protect your website by keeping your software on the latest version. 

Your website is constantly being monitored with WordPress security alerts and if there is any vulnerable plugin on your website, it will be updated as soon as a patch is available. Malcare, one of the security tools we use, automatically blocks malicious traffic with real-time protection.

How do you manage BuddyBoss updates?

BuddyBoss is a powerful and beautiful community software, but at the same time, it is complex — mostly because of its support for multiple integrations. 

So every time that there is an update on the BuddyBoss Theme, BuddyBoss Platform, BuddyBoss Platform Pro, or the BuddyBoss App plugin, we generate our own internal testing environments (staging sites) where we apply the updates and run quality assurance tests. 

The quality assurance process includes: 

  • Visual Inspection: We test all BuddyBoss Platform components visually to see if anything has affected the platform’s stability and performance 
  • Back-end Review: We review all components from the BuddyBoss Platform to ensure that all functionalities run smoothly with no issues 
  • Server Health Check: We analyze the impact of the new updates on the server’s performance (PHP, databases, security mod, etc.) 

Once we have completed the quality assurance process successfully, we perform the same process on your server/website.

Do you provide emergency support?

Yes, we do! 

If you are subscribed to our Flagship or Explorer plan then you can get emergency support from our team just in case your site is fully down or maybe you are unable to login to your WordPress administration anymore. 

Keep calm, send us a ticket and we will take care of your issue and get your site up and running as soon as possible.

Do you need to install any plugins on the site?

Yes, we’ll install a BuddyCare plugin on each site. This will allow you to have full visibility on the updates, backups, and security scans we perform on your website.

Can I keep my current plugins?

What is Visual Validator and how does it work?

Visual Validator is our own tool that uses visual regression to ensure plugin updates don’t cause visual problems on your site. 

How it works: 

  1. Visual Validator takes screenshots of up to 20 pages of your site. 
  2. Updates are applied 
  3. Visual Validator takes new screenshots and compares them to see if anything looks different 
  4. If changes are detected, our happiness engineer is alerted and will resolve the issue 

Our update process lets you pick and choose which updates to run. So if needed, we can exclude problematic updates from the process. You also have to ability to choose specific pages for Visual Validator to check.
